Dear colleagues
At Espegrend we expect a short visit – one week (18), April the 27th of April to May the 3rd, 2026 – from Davide Di Bari, a researcher at Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (SZN, Italy), through the EMBRC Staff Mobility Programme.
His main interests for the visit:
BRUV (baited remote underwater video) systems and low‑cost deep‑sea deployments
Sediment sampling for taxonomic and biodiversity studies
AI‑based species identification and workflows for processing ROV video archives
Davide has substantial experience with deep‑sea survey technology, video‑based biodiversity assessments, and 3D photogrammetry. He is particularly interested in meeting UiB researchers working with ROV footage or planning deep‑sea field activities.
