In the spring of 2025, elections will be held for the department council. All members, with the exception of the head of department who is a permanent member, are up for election, and until 19 March you can nominate candidates for your respective groups. For Gr. A and C the election period is 4 years, while for Gr. B and D it is one year. The new department council period starts on 01.08.2025.
The election will take place in the period 21-23 May 2025.
How to submit proposals to members of the institute council:
- Proposals are submitted in writing using the department’s nomination form
- Proposals must be signed by at least the same number of proposers as the number of candidates the proposal contains
- Proposer must be qualified to vote in the election – see the UiB voting regulations [Norwegian language]
- No one can sign more than one proposal
- Those proposed must be electable
- If a candidate is proposed who can claim exemption from election, the proposal must be accompanied by written consent from the person concerned
- The proposal must have been received no later than 12:00 on 19 March 2025
- The proposals must be sent by e-mail to knut.daasvatn@uib.no.
