Work will be carried out on the network in the Biologen and Høyteknologisenteret respectively for a few days in March. The work may cause short-term disturbances in network function and connection – see below for details.
- Thursday 13 March: Biologen, B block – the work will take place after working hours
- Saturday 15 March: Høyteknologisenteret, Bioblokken – the work will take place between 08:00 and 16:00
- Thursday 27 March: Biologen, A block – the work will take place after working hours
What does this upgrade mean for the building?
1. There will be downtime for the network during the time it is being upgraded (a few hours between 09:00 and 16:00)
2. There may be devices that fall out of the network after the upgrade (and which may require a restart/new connection). This often applies to devices that are NOT client operated or depend on static IP. Client-operated devices will not notice this work.
3. Services connected to specific IP addresses may drop out as new IPs are assigned to the devices in the new network. Therefore, these must be connected with a new IP or get a certificate from the IT department.
