Faculty of Science and Technology with a great news article about the Poster Symposium

The bustling area at Realfagbygget was buzzing with academic enthusiasm as the Student Poster Symposium brought together more than 200 students to showcase the research projects they have been working on this semester.

A total of 65 posters made by students adorned the bustling area in the Science Building, when the Student Poster Symposium was organized for the 13th time on Thursday, May 15. Since its inception in 2019, the event has grown steadily.

– We want to make the Student Poster Symposium an event for the entire faculty, with contributions from all departments and a variety of presentation forms – not just posters, but also, for example, prototypes and other oral presentations. We are also looking at the possibility of inviting high school students and external partners. This is the first time we have organized the symposium in the Science Building, and it will be an important pilot for further development, says Sigrunn Eliassen, outgoing vice-dean for education at the faculty and incoming pro-rector at UiB.
