UiB organized the traditional plastic clean-up campaign for students and employees on September 25. Like last year, the location was Lisle Lyngøy, often referred to as “Plastic Island” outside Hellesøy. The day was filled with strong impressions – and some good news for the ecosystem on the island.

The Plastics network is working with UiB’s Bærekraftspiloter [Sustainability Pilots] as the organizer of the plastic clean-up campaign on behalf of UiB, and as in previous years, the campaign is taking place in collaboration with Bergen og omland friluftsråd [Bergen and surrounding area outdoor recreation council, BOF] and Naturvernforbundet Hordaland [theHordaland Nature Conservation Association].
