Hei dere,
Happy New Year and a well spent Christmas holiday. I hope you have all had a good time and are ready for new challenges and happy that a new year is under way.
The Fish health group gets a new group leader. Are Nylund resigns after many years of hard work the group. The integrated master’s in Fish Health is one of the most important things we have at BIO, and without the dedicated efforts of Are and all his colleagues, the programme would not have been as good as it is and would not have had the position it has. Many thanks to Are for very good efforts over many years.
Aina-Cathrine Øvergård takes over from Are as group leader. As I know Aina, she will do a very good job. She is passionate about the fish health programme, has an extensive research activity and a good approach to the challenges. Many thanks to Aina for taking on this important and demanding task. I am absolutely certain that she will be a constructive contributor to the management team at BIO and an important voice for her specialist group. Aina starts as subject group leader from Monday 8 January.
The accounts for 2023 will soon be ready. I am optimistic that we have not only managed to stop the downward trend of increasing deficits, but actually managed to reverse the trend in a positive direction. We will return with more information as soon as the accounts are finally ready.
Then I wish you all a really good weekend by and by.
Hilsen Ørjan
