For the second year in a row, BIO100 has an in-depth exercise where the students will squeeze the Earth’s 4.6 billion-year long history onto a 15-metre-long paper sheet.
For this exercise, we need to use most of the long corridors in the A and B blocks as well as on the 3rd floor of the bio-building. There will be 15 groups and 15 paper sheets on the coming Wednesday from 12-14 and slightly fewer 14-16. We have clarified this with the department.
Last year, we received many nice feedback from colleagues who thought this was nice, but we have a great understanding that some may think this is too noisy. That is why we are warning now!
One type of advice we have if the sound level gets too loud is to kindly ask the students to make less noise. Our chief of studies Øyvind Halskau also reminds us that in such cases, you can use a headset with noise cancellation or music, or you can work from home the coming Wednesday.
All the best, Jarl Giske & Christian Jørgensen
