My name is Marius Ole Johansen and I have just started as a reseracher within educational science at bioCEED!
During my PhD, I researched student motivation in higher education with the main focus on what underpins motivation, how motivation can influence various factors that make up a healthy student’s everyday life and how motivation can be increased in teaching. Surveying students’ motivation towards their studies has never been a more important task, and I look forward to continuing with research towards motivation here at the university. I will also analyze data from the bioCEED survey (https://bioceed.w.uib.no/the-bioceed-survey-2015/) in order to investigate various aspects of motivation among instructors/lecturers at higher education institutions.
