About the award with application deadline 13 January 2025:
c) Support can be provided in the form of personal awards for outstanding teaching that takes place at Norwegian educational institutions.
By educational institutions is meant here i.a. universities and colleges. The sum is NOK 500,000 per award. Up to 10 awards can be granted in 2025. The awards are personal.
Proposals for an award for outstanding teaching must be submitted by serving professors or associate professors in medicine and/or natural sciences/mathematics. It is a prerequisite that the students also support the proposal, either
a) by being among the proposers or
b) by the institution’s own student bodies/student associations drawing up independent proposals in collaboration with serving professors/first team administrators.
It must be specified in the institution’s proposal who has written the proposal(s) and in what way the students are involved.
Award candidates may represent the proposer’s own institution or other universities or colleges in Norway.
The University of Oslo is responsible for the academic administration of the award, the academic council is appointed on the proposal of the university.
