FINSEFONDET’S ENVIRONMENTAL GRANT 2025. NOK 300,000 for the preservation of Norwegian mountain nature. Do you have a project we should support?
The purpose of Finsefondet is to support research, investigations, and measures aimed at preserving Norwegian mountain nature. The Environmental Grant 2025 offers up to NOK 300,000. The deadline is April 1st.
Central to Finsefondet is the preservation of mountain nature. We want the project to be focused on this purpose. However, the use of funds can vary: it can be pilot projects in research and dissemination, surveys to contribute to a better basis for decision-making, restoration/maintenance, or other concrete physical measures for the preservation of our mountain nature.
We primarily want one project but can also consider spreading the funding across several smaller allocations. Finsefondet especially wants to help realize projects that have few other sources of funding and where the funds constitute a significant part of the total financing for the project. It will be a positive factor if the project has transferable value beyond the project and/or can be scaled up to a larger project over time.
In recent years, the board has allocated funds to DNT for the development of a guide for establishing hiking destinations and trails to protect vulnerable nature, surveys of red-listed species in areas threatened by development, and dissemination in the form of film production and other communication measures.
