Deadline to register applications is 1.May*

Conditions for assessment of guest students:
- International students residing abroad.
- Be an active student at master’s level
- Professional affiliation/professional foundation/research collaboration
- Competence development within the field
- Need for contact with subject specialists/need for literature/source search
Information about assessment of guest students is only available in Norwegian, as this is not an open admission.
Important:
International students from countries outside of EU/Eer fra land utenfor EU/EEA and Swizerland have to pay a tuition fee. This applies to all students who will take exams at UIB (including guest students).
Applicants from countries outside of EU must document financing. Documentation must be uploaded by 1.May.
Fall-2025: NOK 75845,-
Fall-2025 and Spring-2026: NOK 166 859.-
Spring-2026: NOK 91 014,-
Erasmus trainee:
- Duration of stay must be between 2 and 12 months*
*Stays for less than 2 months are not registered and do not give student privilieges

Guest and trainee status are given for max. 2 semesters, including previous stays at UIB.

Guest students and trainees are not entitled to a housing guarantee.
