Dear EU advisor,
Norwegian researchers and companies can now apply to join 70 new COST networks starting in 2025. The Research Council finds that participants in these networks have increased their chances of success in the EU’s Horizon Europe.
The networks, under the auspices of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), are international networks between researchers and cover all subjects, disciplines and sectors.
The participants bring their own research to the network and COST provides support for meetings, seminars and conferences in the network, summer schools and short research stays. COST does not fund research.
The Research Council has been in contact with several Norwegian participants who believe that it is valuable to participate in COST networks to form a consortium for Horizon Europe applications.
Researchers early in their careers in particular can benefit from participating in COST networks.
You can find an overview of the new networks on the COST website. Please contact us at the Research Council as soon as possible if you would like to join. To be considered for the first round of appointments to these new networks, you must contact us by 13 June at the latest. Send an email to: COST-CNC@forskningsradet.no
The Research Council would like to ask those interested in participating to send a short application using the template provided, together with their CV. This also applies to those who have been “secondary proposers” in the application process.
The call for applications to establish new COST networks is now open and the application deadline is 21 October 2025. More information here: Open Call: A Simple One-Step Application Process
Vennlig hilsen COST kontaktpersonene i Norge;
