Join the KI Competence Boost!
AI is developing rapidly and is already affecting many parts of society – including the university sector. To ensure that the university exploits the opportunities AI offers in a safe, efficient and ethical manner, all employees need a basic understanding of what AI is – and what it is not. The university director therefore wants to offer all technical and administrative employees a training course in artificial intelligence. The training will help employees know which AI tools are in use at the university, and how these can be used as assistants in various work tasks.
KI Competence Boost consists of three modules that gradually build up competence and skills in the use of artificial intelligence in the individual employee. The offer is activity-based and each module consists of a short launch, an online course at your own pace and some practical follow-up activities that can be carried out individually, in the units or in joint colloquia and learning workshops. The Competence Lift is developed by UiB Service Development in collaboration with UiB Learning Lab and participants from the joint administration and faculty.
In the first module, the goal is to give the participant a basic competence in AI and to become confident enough to try out the AI tool we use at UiB (Copilot). As a manager, you will have access to information about many of your employees who have completed the online course so that you have the opportunity to follow up on AI competence development at your unit.
We are introducing AI competence improvement and will release the first module on June 2 at 2:00 PM with a kick-off webinar where University Director Tore Tungodden will introduce the competence improvement together with learning coordinators and course providers. The webinar lasts approx. 40 min.
