Hei everyone, my name is Adriana Neeltje de Vries but I generally go by Anne though I will also answer to Adriana. I am employed by Nofima AS and am generally stationed in the beautiful Sunndalsøra. Last year I worked as a research technician focused on the daily care of the fish and planning for samplings in the trials that are run at the research station. As of this year I started my PhD in association with the UiB at the department of biological sciences. My main supervisor is Ingrid Lein (Nofima), my UiB supervisor is Øystein Sæle, and Alf Dalum (Pharmaq Analitiq) and Grete Bæverfjord (Nofima) are my other co-supervisors.

My PhD is part of a larger project run by Nofima looking into the early development of rainbow trout under varying rearing conditions. My focus will mainly be on opercula shortening and gill development in relation to different incubation temperatures.

At the moment I am in Bergen for the autumn semester to follow several courses. While on campus and not following lectures you can find me in the office in the Høyteknologisenteret building, 3rd floor (Norwegian version of floor numbering 😉) in room 340A1.

Looking forward to meeting you.
