The UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021–2030) will provide a global boost to raise knowledge about the oceans and ensure that society can make use of this knowledge so that we can achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. One stated goal is for all parts of the population to gain a greater understanding of how important the ocean is.
You can apply for funding for a wide range of communication and dissemination measures that help to increase this understanding. The measures are intended to disseminate research-based knowledge and increase ocean literacy.
You can apply for a minimum of NOK 100,000 and a maximum of NOK 250,000. The application deadline is open-ended.
Applications are not required to be connected to projects that already receive funding from the Research Council.
Note: There is no funding left for the thematic areas land-based environments and climate. One can only apply to the area of Ocean Science.
