Teachers’ Day [Lærernes dag] will be held on January 30, 2026. We hereby invite academic communities from all faculties and departments to submit lectures, seminars, workshops and other academic contributions that profile current research at UiB. We therefore want this information to be disseminated to all relevant academic communities at both faculty and department.
What contributions do we want in 2026?
We want to create a varied program that shows the breadth of the faculties’ research and dissemination. The target group for the event is teachers and staff in lower and upper secondary schools. Contributions should be relevant to teaching subjects, interdisciplinary topics or the teaching profession in general, with a focus on youth and society.
Contributions can be lectures or conversations/debates with other contributors. We want presentations of around 30 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for questions from the audience. Evaluations from recent years have shown that participants want the opportunity for interaction, and we will therefore ensure that time is set aside for this in next year’s event.
