September 30 was the deadline for submitting course budgets for courses in the spring. Course budgets are an important tool for us to look at how we best use our resources, so I hope everyone who has submitted for the spring has taken the time to look at their own and others’ time spent on the courses. We will review these in consultation with our controller and will provide feedback to the course in charges [emneansvarlige] when this is done.
October 1 was the faculty’s deadline for submitting study plan changes. We have had a good number of issues on the various program boards. The program board chairs have met in the Education Council, which is chaired by Anne Bjune, and some issues that have financial consequences have been forwarded to the Department Council. We are working to quickly publish all minutes on our websites regarding advice and selection. It is very gratifying to see that improvements are being reported on learning outcomes, teaching and assessment methods!
The Study Section is in full swing planning for spring 2026 and we will be contacting those who will be teaching to plan their schedules.
As Anne wrote in her editorial two weeks ago, we would like to have as many people as possible at the Teachers’ Retreat on November 25th at the Radisson Blue Royal Hotel Bryggen (https://skjemaker.app.uib.no/view.php?id=19742401). As in previous years, there will be discussions and presentations. The committee for the Teachers’ Conference is working on the program and we expect to come up with a more concrete program before too long. We are very much looking forward to the Teachers’ Conference!
Håper alle får en fin uke!

Studieleder
