Kjære kollega, ditt arbeidsmiljø er viktig for oss!

Dear colleague, your working environment is important to us!

And that’s why we go on annual safety rounds, to inspect the physical working environment and ensure a safe and good working environment at BIO. At the end of October, our HSE coordinator Ann Kristin and I started our annual safety rounds. First up were the live animal department and Espegrend, and in the coming weeks we will visit the rest of our buildings. I would therefore like to remind you to provide feedback on how the working environment is experienced and which areas should be followed up during the safety round. You can do so in this form  . Thank you for all your input!

We also use this survey to get feedback on various HSE focus areas. This year we are asking if you are familiar with UiB’s substance abuse policy and guidelines for handling addiction. Information about this and much more can be found on UIB’s HSE portal .

We are facing a dark, busy and also pleasant time. As in previous years, we are organizing an HSE seminar, and this time the date is set for Thursday, December 11th and will be combined with a bioSEMINAR and Christmas lunch. It will be a nice opportunity to spend time together, and this year we will also use the opportunity to highlight some of the good colleagues we have at BIO and brag a little about them. Do you have a colleague who has contributed to the HSE work or the working environment in a particularly good way? Then please nominate them for bio-phenomenal effort using the following form: Nomination form :Outstanding contribution to HSE

I look forward to gathering together at both HSE Day and the Christmas party the week before, remember to check out your own issue in this week’s bio news for registration and information. ake good care of yourselves in the autumn darkness.

Best regards, Julie
