Call: International Joint Initiative for Research in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation

The International Joint Initiative for Research in Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation from The New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF), Canada, is an international collaboration on adaptation and mitigation in vulnerable societies. Norway participates with approximately 31 MNOK, together with eight other countries. The overall budget for the call is approximately 90 million Canadian dollars.

Thematically, the call targets the eight key risk areas described in the sixth IPCC report Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability.

 

The target group for the research are vulnerable groups most affected by climate change due to their geographical location, social and/or economic situation.

 

Deadline to submit required notice of intent to apply: 2 May 2023

Application submission deadline:  12 September 2023
