My name is Oliver and this week i started in my new position as researcher in the Marine Microbiology group.
During both my PhD and post doc I worked in large national and international arctic projects, focussing on microorganisms and interactions in the microbial food web, as part of the carbon cycle. In my new position I will work on data from microbial analyses (flow cytometry and metagenoms), mainly from the projects Arven etter Nansen (https://arvenetternansen.com/) and MOSAiC-HAVOC (https://mosaic-expedition.org/) and also participate in the EU-project AQUACOSM-plus (https://www.aquacosm.eu/about-aquacosm-plus).
In addition I try to contribute to the development of new projects and hope to be able to advance our knowledge of arctic marine microbiolgy and strengthen BIO’s role in arctic research.
