Input on artificial intelligence in higher education

The government has set up a national committee on artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education, which will assess how higher education is affected by the development of artificially intelligent technologies, and will provide advice on how learning activities, examinations, assessment and learning objectives in higher education should be adapted to our new technological reality, etc. For more information, see the attached letter from the Department of Studies [Norwegian language]:

The committee will submit its recommendation as a NOU by 1 October 2026, and UiB is invited to provide input. If the departments have input on the questions in the attached letter, or have examples of particularly good practice related to the issues, the deadline to send it to the faculty is Wednesday 27 August.

Please note that the committee also invites you to an open meeting on 25 June, where input can be given orally. Vice-Rector Benedicte Carlsen will give a presentation from UiB, and there is an opportunity for individuals to give additional presentations. (Registration deadline expired)
