The UArctic network, of which UiB is a member, advertises funds for the exchange of staff between institutions participating in the mobility program north2north (n2n). Both academic and administrative staff can apply for support for exchange through n2n.
Each year, the Peder Sather Center for Advanced Study announces funding for collaborative projects between Norwegian educational institutions and UC Berkeley (California). The Peder Sather funds are a unique opportunity to establish collaboration at one of the top universities in the USA. The application deadline in 2024 is 1 April. The numbers are ready, the verdict has been reached. From a deficit of 46.8 million at the start of 2023, we ended up with an improvement in the result of 6 million. This is another 4 million better than what we had predicted.

In September, the university board approved the draft of the new HSE action plan 2023-2026 for the University of Bergen. At the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MN) it was
appointed a working group that was to create the MN faculty’s version based on UiB’s central plan.

The wardrobes in the shelter in the basement of the Bioblokken are now almost fully refurbished and can be used from Monday 15/1.
There is now a call for travel support to students with funding from UiB’s committed research area Climate and energy.
