Incentive funds
Utdanningsutvalget [the education committee] allocates funds in accordance with adopted guidelines and priorities. Only projects that are assessed to be ready within one or more of the prioritized areas, and where the project otherwise has the necessary quality, can be allocated funds. The funds must be used for time-limited projects.
We ask that applications be sent to the faculty by 12 March.
Priority areas for the incentive funds 2025
- Projects that facilitate a closer link between research and education, especially at bachelor’s level.
- Projects that focus on student active learning and alternative forms of assessment.
- Redesign of master’s program that contributes to UiB educating more master’s candidates.
- Projects that lead to better contact between students and working life.
- Projects to develop interdisciplinary study programs or which in other ways contribute to interdisciplinary work across the faculties.
Ugleprisen
In item 52/24, the Education Committee [Utdanningsutvalget] adopted new award criteria for the Ugleprisen, along with a new template to be used when nominating candidates.
The winner of Ugleprisen is UiB’s candidate for the national education quality award for higher education, which is administered by the Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir). UiB’s new template for nominating candidates for the Ugleprisen is therefore based on HK-dir’s template for the national award.
We ask that nominations for the Owl Prize be sent to the faculty by 26 May.
