7. June 2022, the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food and Environment published a benefit and risk assessment of fish in the Norwegian diet, commissioned by the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
Key message:
Health benefits from increasing fish intake to a recommended amount of two to three meals a week outweigh the risks of ingesting environmental contaminants found in fish. This applies to all age groups.
