As many will know, UiB is in the process of changing its video service from Kaltura to Panopto, cf. info here at uib.no and the announcement in My UiB pictured above. Information about this has been disseminated in several channels, but the introduction project finds that many lecturers are not yet aware that a change is taking place. Videos from Kaltura are automatically transferred to Panopto, the service is located in the same place in Mitt UiB, and the functionality of the two video services is largely the same, so the teacher does not need to notice the change very much. But two things in particular should be highlighted:
* We get some new functionality with Panopto, including automatic subtitling of video.
* Although existing videos are automatically transferred to the new service, they will need to be re-posted to courses and pages.
