In January, the Estate and Facilities Management division (EIA) will start light construction work in our former areas, which we disposed of in December 2022 to adapt the space to the needs of the University Museum who will be taking over these areas. The work is planned to start in January 2024.
EIA starts with the areas located on the first and fourth floors of Thormøhlensgate 53B.
On the first floor, two doors are to be removed and blinded. Next, former doorways must be sandblasted and painted.
On the fourth floor, several rooms are to be rebuilt, and the technical facilities on the floor will be closed or reduced in capacity for short periods. This can apply to water, osmosis or ventilation systems. At times there will be noisy work, and lifts and floors in common areas may have to be covered for dust protection. An emergency shower in the hallway on the fourth floor will be moved due to the need for access.
Affected groups at BIO have had an information meeting with EIA to coordinate the work with our activities, and we will have dialogue throughout the construction periode in the new year.
