Head of department Ståle joins the BIO325 cruise in Masfjorden

On Monday 7 October I was able to take part in a trip with G.O.Sars, together with Katja, Frank and Heikki who had students from BIO325 (Marine Science) on board.

It was a great honor for me to get an insight into how the teaching cruises at BIO are carried out.

I drove to Masfjordnes where I was picked up by a light boat and taken out to the ship. On board, I got a thorough introduction to what the students were doing on the cruise, and could see and feel for myself what was caught by the trawl in Masfjorden!

I would have liked to have stayed for several days, but the boat and the course were fully booked, so I was driven ashore in the afternoon with new knowledge of the diverse activities at BIO.

Thanks for the trip!
