[Our translation]
The Norwegian Environment Agency advises that the OECD (The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) is asking for input into its work on the development of unique codes for genetically modified animals.Today, such unique codes are used to identify genetically modified plants on the market. Each genetically modified plant is given a unique code, which enables it to be tracked and found in databases
etc. The OECD has asked the authorities in each country to be helpful in distributing the questionnaire widely to various stakeholders/actors. We are therefore sending this to the consultation list for
hearing of GMO cases under the Genetic Technology Act. More information about the case is in the appendix [vedlegg].
