Starting March 1st 2025, UiB establishes a Service center for payroll, travel and absence which will handle these services for the entire organisation.
Background and goals
The establishment of a service center stems from the project “Full salary and close to salary HR” which defined four recommendations that have been adopted by the university director, where the establishment of the service center was one of these. The objectives of establishing the center are:
- Better quality in payroll and payroll-related HR services, and better flow for the organisation.
- That end users find it easier to get help and end users get the same help regardless of their position in the organisation.
- That errors and deficiencies are captured through user support, and measures are taken accordingly.
- Freed up capacity in the organization by TS taking on user support tasks from all levels and levels.
- Ensure compliance with common policy through case management and user support.
- That SC becomes a hub for updating and disseminating changes in policy and systems, etc. in the organization
