Dear all,
A big hurray and congratulations to everyone on the good result we achieved in 2023. We have taken a big chunk out of our deficit, and laid a good foundation for further work. Not only have we cut our deficit by 6 million, but we have also achieved a new record for activity in external projects, from 129.4 in 2022 to 132.2 in 2023. WOW! It is absolutely fantastic, and a result that is only possible through a team effort from all of us. Thank you very much for a great effort in 2023.
And now the work continues. We are currently working on budget 2024, which should be completed in early February. We are planning both a department council meeting in the second half of February, and also a general staff meeting, where we will provide further information on both the 2023 budget and the 2024 accounts.
In the general meeting, we will also give a status on how we are working with the measures that emerged from the working environment survey. We have decided to start with the first three measures on the ranked list of measures (Summary from the HSE day – Newsletter – Institute of Biosciences (uib.no)).
We will give a status on this work at the general meeting in February. Invitation coming soon, hope to see many of you there.
