The change in HELFO’s healthcare entitlements for the USA means that employees who are posted workers in the USA can no longer use the insurance card from HELFO’s insurance agent Optum for outlays and direct settlements against HELFO. The change means that the employee must advance health expenses themselves and then apply for reimbursement from HELFO. UiB (as a self-insurer) is not able to provide sufficient documentation as a guarantor for coverage of health expenses. An insurance card is therefore necessary, either in the form of travel insurance or private health insurance or both.
