Hello everyone! My name is Yu-Chen, but you can call me Wayne. I’m from Taiwan and started my PhD on March 24. This is my first time living in the beautiful city of Bergen, and its rainy weather reminds me a lot of my home city, Taipei.
I will be working in the Salmon Louse group under the supervision of Christiane Eichner, focusing on the ionotropic receptor of the salmon louse and its interaction with the host. Previously, my research focused on ion regulation in fish, and I am interested in anything related to fish or aquatic life. I’m excited to take on this new challenge of working with fish parasites.
I look forward to this journey and to meeting you all!
