The first Early Career Conference will happen 01.12.25 at VilVite.
Everyone from BIO and the affiliated institutions are invited to attend, with talks and posters being given by early careers (PhDs, postdocs, research assistants and technicians- up to 5 years post masters degree).
Preliminary program:
- 8:15- mingling and breakfast
- 9:00 – 16:00- talks, posters, keynote speakers (lunch and coffee will be provided)
- Evening- conference dinner for all presenters
Registration & deadline:
Please register by September 22 using this LINK. When registering, include:
- Your name, position, affiliation
- Preference for talk or poster
- An abstract (~200 words) written for a broad audience
- 3–5 general keywords describing your research (e.g., fish, climate change, plants, genetics)
Please also register if you will attend but not present (e.g. professors, staff, students), so we know how much lunch to order.
Presentation guidelines-
- Presentations can either be a poster or a 10-minute talk.
- All presentations should be prepared for a broad audience so everyone can understand!
- Any stage of work can be presented- e.g. methods, ideas/concepts (if you’ve just started), preliminary results or completed projects.
- Presentations will be collated under broad themes, with research groups and disciplines being mixed.
- There will be prizes for the best posters and presentations.
