Dear friends and members of NBS Bergen,
We would like to offer travel support to Master students and PhD students that are attending the 61st NBS Contact Meeting at Storefjell in January 2026. The meeting is organized by the NBS Bergen board, and we hope to see a as strong representation from Bergen this year!
We are therefore announcing 10 Travel Fellowships, each worth 1000 NOK, to support young researchers attending the 61st NBS Contact Meeting. The travel support is sponsored by the local NBS Bergen chapter. Half of the fellowships will be prioritized for Master students (please forward this email to any master students in your group!)
Now, 1000 NOK will of course not pay for the full conference fee, but it will bring down your costs even further from the already heavily discounted prices available for masters and PhD students.
The NBS Contact Meeting is a great place for networking and presenting your own research.
For Phd-students the Contact Meeting is a great opportunity to present your work, network and it is a very easy way to obtain the much needed dissemination points for you degree.
For Master’s students, it is an excellent place to present you project (you don’t need a lot of data for a poster!), a great experience, and an opportunity to meet other researchers and students from across Norway!
