In 2026, UiB would like to provide an extra boost to researchers to strengthen their application activity aimed at the NFR FRIPRO programs. NFR FRIPRO currently has five calls for proposals for groundbreaking research with running application deadlines and evaluations.
Researchers that submit an application to FRIPRO before 1 October 2026, will have at their disposal up to 41.000 NOK to use in preparation for their application. As long as it meets the purpose of positioning or strengthening the application, researchers are free to decide how they wish to use these funds (workshops, travel, “frikjøp” consultancy, generation of pilot data, etc.).
If you would like to make use of these funds, please send an email in which you:
- Confirm that you will submit an application to NFR before 1 October 2026.
- Provide a short description of the intended use of the funds. A bulleted list with rough estimates will suffice.
