Dean’s brief week 17 2026

This year’s application numbers show that we remain stable at a high level. It is especially encouraging to see that the new MSc programme in Quantum Technology is performing very well. We have truly positioned ourselves well in the competition for top talent. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to this year’s results and to student recruitment.

Work on the new websites is progressing steadily. This week, several content owners and content producers have taken part in the first writing workshops. I encourage you to make good use of this opportunity to reflect on what is most important for you to highlight. It is particularly important to showcase research infrastructure, facilities, and other elements that make you stand out. If you have any questions about the process or the new pages, you can contact the content owner at your department or the faculty’s web manager, Ina Hilton.

One Ocean Week is wrapping up this Friday, marking the end of an inspiring and eventful program. Many of our colleagues have organized a wide range of activities, delivered talks, and contributed in various ways. It is truly encouraging to see such strong and engaging science communication. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed in one way or another!
