Dear colleagues,
After 3,5 years after publishing ChatGPT and after many developments in the field of generative AI, many universities, instrutors and students are still searching for ways how to learn and teach in this new reality. At the same time, UiB is developing its expertise around digital technologies in teaching and learning, among others with the new AI LEARN center and the roll-out of the full Canvas version for teaching and learning in 2026/27.
These are just some of the reasons why the organizers of the UiB Læringskonferanse, a group of colleagues from UiB Learning Lab, UiB Universal and the Program for University Pedagogy, have decided to set this year’s conference under the theme “On the Way to Postdigital Higher Education?”. At the conference, we will explore practices, opportunities, challenges and other aspects of this digital teaching world.
As in previous years, the conference will be a mix of keynote presentations, workshop and, presentations by and from within UiB instructors and students. We have therefore opened the call for participation for the conference: https://w3.uib.no/en/uped/182358/way-postdigital-higher-education As the website states, there are paper and poster presention opportunities for UiB staff and students.
Please consider whether you yourself would like to present at the conference, and maybe even more importantly, please forward this invitation to the colleagues and students at your own department, faculty, research group etc. As always, it is the people who present who fill it with life.
