Dear colleagues,
just a quick status update from me before I leave for my summer vacation 18 June-10 July.
The EEA is rolling out a suite of Topic Centre calls now (click to see calls in the EU Funding & Tenders Portal
Several of them have topics of interest to UiB – e.g. on the marine environment, on biodiversity, on geospatial data, etc.
The EEA is organizing webinars to inform about the various calls, click for details. If you want to attend such a webinar and need the link, just contact me as I typically receive direct invitations, being the contact person for UiB currently. I will be on vacation but will check e-mail regularily, and if it is urgent, just text me at +47 48074017 (SMS or WhatsApp).
Exactly how to go about this, I am unsure of. The deadlines are so short that I guess few of us are ready to coordinate a proposal. But we may have colleagues and partners across Europe who have coordinator ambitions. If so, just remain confident that we are an approved TCO and you can involve yourself as partner in such proposals. Again, don’t hesitate to contact me if you need to.
Also, please forward this information to relevant UiB colleagues. Åshild Nylund helps us by writing about it at «På Høyden» but it’s summer time and information travels slowly.
I’m also working on the idea of organizing a 1-day seminar with Miljødirektoratet to inform them better about our scope of environmental research. This is slow work but I will keep you informed.
