Toxic Beauty: Art Inspired by Invisible Ocean Pollutants” is an interactive exhibition exploring the impact of marine pollution on ocean ecosystems through the lens of art and science. A collaboration between the Environmental Toxicology Group at UiB and the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design, the installation features sculptures of marine animals crafted from plastic waste, created by students and scientists together.
Visitors can contribute to a large, wall mural by adding pieces of plastic, while a hands-on experiment demonstrates the effects of oil pollution, offering an engaging and thought-provoking experience that highlights the hidden threats to ocean health.
