Industry Internship Program – opportunity for PhD candidates and postdocs

Dear team at the UiB Faculty of Science and Technology,

I am writing on behalf of the Innovation Roadmap project team at dScience, University of Oslo, to share the open call for our Industry Internship Program. Innovation Roadmap was one of the innovation initiatives under DLN and continues until the end of this year, although DLN concluded in January.

As UiB was one of the partner institutions in DLN, and given the strong biosciences, informatics, chemistry, technology, marine and data science research environments at the Faculty of Science and Technology, I thought this opportunity might be relevant to some PhD candidates and postdocs at UiB.

The program is open to PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career researchers at Norwegian universities and university colleges. It offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in industry and innovation environments, apply research skills in practical settings, expand professional networks, and explore career paths beyond academia.

Participants will be matched with host organisations for internships in autumn 2026. PhD candidates can apply for 3-month internships, while postdocs/researchers can apply for 2-month internships. Internship salaries are covered by the Innovation Roadmap project, and travel/accommodation support is available if needed.

This year’s host organisations include BioInnovation Institute, AstraZeneca, Testa Center, TREco, Seaweed Solutions, UiO Growth House, Authera, Actential, Klyv Therapeutics, and DNV – AI Assurance Research Program.

The application deadline is 21 June.

More information about the program and application process can be found here:
Industry Internship Program

We would be very grateful if you could share this opportunity with relevant PhD candidates, postdocs, researchers, supervisors, or research support networks at UiB, or forward it to the right person or team.

Best regards,
