Hi, I am Juliette, I recently started my PhD in the Theoretical Ecology Group with Tom J. Langbehn, Christian Jørgensen, Øystein Varpe as my supervisors.
My PhD research is part of the Arctic Ocean 2050 (Polhavet 2050) research programme and focuses on modelling zooplankton (Calanus spp.) life-history traits and adaptations along gradients of light, turbidity, food availability and predation. The project aims to provide insights into likely pan-Arctic spatiotemporal distribution patterns of this species complex.
I enjoy working with both mathematics and biology, and particularly like how mathematical and computational modelling allows me to combine the two to explore ecological questions.
Originally from France, my research journey has taken me to several countries. I have worked in Germany at GEOMAR and in Switzerland at EAWAG.
Outside of research, I am a curious person who enjoys discovering new things and having conversations. I also have a creative side and enjoy artistic activities and anything fun, colorful and a little bit unconventional.
