- On Tuesday, our Faculty hosted another visit connected to UiB Realfaghøyden — this time from politicians Joel Ystebø (KrF), and Frøya Skjold Sjursæther and Haakon Bakke (MDG). The visit included a tour of the Math Room (Mattestuen), the robotized chemistry lab, and an exploration of deep‑sea research, followed by constructive conversations about the project and the need for strong science education.
- On Wednesday, we officially opened the Looking Beyond exhibition on the main floor of the Realfagbygget. The exhibition features 25 satellite images from the all‑Italian COSMO‑SkyMed constellation. After interesting visits to the Sars Center and ILab, the Italian Ambassador, Stefano Nicoletti, opened the exhibition. Four of our colleagues gave short pitches highlighting some of our own research activities. A big thank-you to Martino, Antonella, Lars‑Henrik and Jostein! The exhibition will remain on display until summer 2026 – Please stop by and enjoy it!
