Ved Fakultet for naturvitenskap og teknologi skal det velges ett hovedverneombud og ett vara-hovedverneombud.
Til hovedverneombud kan velges verneombud innenfor området (NT-fak) eller annen arbeidstaker i området som har eller har hatt tillitsverv ved virksomheten.

Forslag til kandidater
Alle ansatte innenfor et verneområde/hovedverneområde, og fagforeninger som organiserer arbeidstakere i verneområdet/hovedverneområde, har rett til å foreslå kandidater.
Forslag til kandidater kan sendes HMS-koordinator NT-fakultetet (inger.fjellanger@uib.no) innen 09. oktober.
Fakultetets hovedverneombud og vara-hovedverneombud for perioden 2025-2026 stiller til gjenvalg.
Dersom det innen fristen ikke foreligger andre forslag til kandidater og stedfortreder, anses disse som valgt ved fristens utløp.
Election of Chief Safety Delegate
At the Faculty of Science and Technology, one Chief Safety Representative and one Deputy Chief Safety Representative shall be elected.
The Chief Safety Representative may be elected from among the safety representatives within the area (the Faculty of Science and Technology)
or from another employee within the area who currently holds or has previously held a representative position at the institution.

Nomination of Candidates
All employees within a safety area/chief safety area, as well as labour unions representing employees in the safety area/chief safety area, have the right to nominate candidates.
Nominations may be submitted to the NT Faculty HSE Coordinator (inger.fjellanger@uib.no) no later than 9 October.
The Faculty’s current Chief Safety Representativeand Deputy Chief Safety Representative for the 2025-2026 term are standing for re-election.
If no other candidates and deputy candidates are nominated by the deadline, they will be considered elected when the nomination period expires.
