Kunnskapsdepartementet har bedt Forskningsrådet om å redusere antall søknader og innføre tiltak som begrenser ressursbruken hos søkerne og i Forskningsrådet. Målet er 25 % innvilgelse, og nå innføres det to viktige hovedtiltak for FRIPRO.
